I would be concerned with ensuring that the baby is in an environment whereby they aren’t soaking up everybody elses negative energy and pain …… an infant hardly knows what to do with their own emotions let alone those of the surrounding adults ….. for all you know the child is an empath and is simply displaying the negativity of whoever he/she is surrounded by…… remove the source of the negativity problem solved … play happy music, sing songs, laughter too ….. laughter and music deflect negativity.
I’m sorry i don’t know enough about chakras and reiki to fully answer the question though.

Any baby that needs that sort of thing surely is being projected upon by the adults in surrounding area.
Leave the baby alone.
Good grief, if a baby needs ‘healing’ you take that baby to a doctor! Treat your own ailments however you choose, but don’t rely on chakra and reiki mumbojumbo when dealing with a child..
And negativity? In a baby? Projection.
I hope you won’t be the latest parent in the news whose arrested because they didn’t take their kid to a doctor.
As for the negativity, maybe Tom Cruise can hook you up. He’s a whiz with the engrams.
To remove negativity, best is to clean the aura of the baby, before that you’d clean your own aura & proetect self with the REIKI symbols, then protect the baby & start healing by putting the symbol 1 & 2 in your palms. In case you feel the child isn’t taking the energy & the chakra is blocked, then put the power symbol on the chakra & throw with yuor fingers outside as if you’re removing something, then do the same procedure with the mental & emotional symbol & throw it outside, keep repeating with both symbols a couple of times, this would help to remove the blockage is any. Then continue healing, you’d find the improvement.
If you don’t know how to do it, you shouldn’t be messing with it lest you want to invite in more negativity.
Also you haven’t stated why you think there is negativity around the baby. Is it irritable, crying, etc? You need to make sure you rule out physical causes, especially with an infant.
You’re free to try whatever alt med/ new age nonsense you fancy on yourself but leave innocent babies out of it.
If the kid is sick, take him to a real doctor. As for “negativity,” do you mean that the baby is constantly crying and asking you for attention? Newsflash, all babies do that.
